Musicales de l'Ouille Allègre - Discovery workshop by Ensemble La Piémontoise
Children ages 5 to 10 will have the chance to explore the instruments of the Ensemble La Piémontoise, learn to sing or play along to short musical pieces on small percussion instruments, and perform in the workshop’s final concert alongside the musicians.
Description
This introductory workshop invites children to explore, through singing, body percussion, and small percussion instruments, a selection of musical excerpts and some of the themes featured in the concerts of the Musicales de l'Ouille Allègre. At the end of the workshop, at 6:15 p.m., parents and relatives will be able to attend a short performance by the children and members of the Ensemble La Piémontoise, showcasing the work they have done exploring these themes.
Since admission to the concert is free for them, children can accompany their parents and attend the concerts.
The Ensemble “La Piémontoise,” whose name is taken from a piece by Louis Couperin and a suite entitled “Les Nations” by his nephew François Couperin, comprises Claudine Desjardins on the traverso (baroque flute), Dominique Desjardins on the viola da gamba, and Anna Cavalli on the harpsichord.
