Description

The Scherzino Ensemble features Claudine Desjardins-Cloutour on flute, Élise De-Bendelac on violin, Emeline Concé on viola, and Dominique Desjardins on double bass.

The program for this opening concert of the Musicales de l’Ouille Allègre features transcriptions of the overture to *The Abduction from the Seraglio* by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as Blonde’s aria from the second act and Osmin’s aria from the third act. This will be followed by excerpts from Claude Debussy’s *Children’s Corner* and, to conclude the first half, three *Bagatelles* by Antonín Dvořák.

The program will continue with two excerpts from Edvard GRIEG’s *Peer Gynt*, “Morning” and “Solveig’s Song,” followed by the incidental music from Franz SCHUBERT’s *Rosamunde*, and concluding with Béla BARTÓK’s famous *Romanian Dances*.
