The Bessans Nordic ski area

Hours of relaxation or sport, at your own pace, amidst snow-covered immensities and larch forests, in a natural setting where the Charbonnel is always there to reveal its incredible glacier.

Every year, Bessans opens its first cross-country ski trails in early November thanks to:

• Bessans' unique geographical location (high plateau surrounded by glaciers, sub-zero temperatures at night from autumn onwards).
• the snowfarming technique (storing snow from one winter to the next under a thick layer of sawdust)
