The space dedicated to the lakes and the Bessans leisure area is the ideal place to relax and have fun.
The Espace Ludi'lacs, that is its name, has been the subject of major works in recent years, to make it a real water park and thus strengthen the region's summer tourist offer.
The facilities, intended for holidaymakers, but also for the inhabitants of the village and the valley, are close to the heart of the village and its shops and services.
The children's playground, tennis, volleyball and soccer courts have been renovated.
A "city-stadium" has been set up, with a synthetic turf covering allowing the practice of soccer, handball and basketball.
The skatepark has been enhanced by an association of young graphic designers from the village.
A few minutes walk or mountain bike from these facilities, visitors discover the lakes of Bessans.
On the swimming lake, supervised every day in July and August, inflatable aquatic structures are installed.
Around the lake, there is a beach volleyball court, a pétanque court, as well as barbecues.
Another lake, maintained by members of the company "L'Arc Supérieur", is a delight for fishing enthusiasts.
The Espace Ludi'lacs has also been made attractive by the initiatives of several service providers to offer other activities (canoeing, paddleboarding, etc.).
In 2017, the Municipality encouraged the creation of a fast food outlet, with a strong desire to promote local products.
The Espace also includes the municipal campsite of Illaz, comprising 45 pitches for tents and 10 pitches with electrical terminals for motor homes.
An extension is the Chantelouve mountain biking space, with a mountain bike park and cross-country trails. It was created at the instigation of the Community of Communes of Haute-Maurienne Vanoise.
