Mountaineering movies - The Trilogy
A film about winter mountaineering: 3 Grandes Faces Nord des Alpes en hiver by Sébastien Ratel, Léo Billon and Benjamin Védrines, members of the Groupe Militaire de Haute Montagne.
Description
They start with the Directissime Harlin on the Eiger on January 16, then the Directe de l'Amitié on the Grandes Jorasses on January 26, and finish with the Gogna-Cerruti route on the Matterhorn on February 9.
It will have taken them less than a month to complete the trilogy of the great north faces of the Alps, whereas Gaston Rebuffat needed 7 years to complete the first, between 1945 and 1952.
