Description
A mountain in the Piedmont region which Bonifacius Rotarius climbed on Sept. 1, 1358 to place a representation of the Virgin Mary for surviving her captivity in the Holy Land during the Crusades. A statue of the Virgin, 3 metres high, was raised to the summit in 1899, thanks to a collection made by the children of Italy. Good walkers.
