L'Iserane

The Iseran pass reserved for bikes

In June, take advantage of the opening of the Col de l'Iseran (the route de l'Iseran is closed in late autumn and doesn't open until late spring) to ride between walls of snow, an experience not to be missed. Every year at the start of summer, the pass road is even reserved for cyclists for an entire morning during "L'Iserane", a cycling event that brings together hundreds of cyclists who set off from Bonneval sur Arc or Val d'Isère to meet up at the summit, at an altitude of over 2,700 meters!
