Situated in Haute-Maurienne, on a grassy bump above the Avérole valley and the confluence of two torrents, in a calm, flowery site with a view of the area's debonair glaciers, the refuge is the starting point for many hikes.

Night: 11.50 to 23 € (Guides, AMM, BE climbing, wardens)
Child rate per night (8-17 years): 12.65 to 18.40 € (Young people 8/18 years old accompanied by an adult.)
CAF member rate per night: 5.75 to 11.50 € (child 8 to 24 years old / adult.)
Breakfast: from 10 €
Picnic to take away: from 10 €
Dinner: from 23 €.

Free entry for children under 8.
Group rate available for 9 people or more.

For the period from mid-March to mid-May, a €2 heating charge must be added to the nightly rate.

Outside the janitor period, the single rate is €10, payable in the trunk or by cheque to CAF Lyon.

Motorway A43 Grenoble, Chambéry, Turin. Exit Modane N6, take direction Modane then Lanslebourg, then Bessans. From there, take the direction of Bonneval sur Arc to the holiday center "La Bessannaise".
Beautiful family walk with the crossing of the hamlet of Les Vincendières, dominated by the Charbonnel (3752 m) then the hamlet of Avérole, very well preserved.
July and August: shuttle bus to the hamlet of Avérole (information at the tourist office of Bessans on 0033 479 059 652

Reservations are compulsory if you wish to spend the night in the refuge.

  • Ideal refuge for families: easy access in summer, family dormitories, adapted rates.
    A family room with double beds for parents, "hut" beds for children (up to 8 people). Baby bed, changing table, high chair, children's books, colouring books, games room, library...
