La Grande Odyssée Royal Canin - mass start stage 7A Bessans

Once again, Bessans welcomes the legendary mass-start of La Grande Odyssée Royal Canin. Dozens of sled dog teams will be on hand to set off together: a unique experience!

Over the years, La Grande Odyssée Royal Canin has established itself as the meeting place for the elite of mid-distance mushers.
The 7th stage, Bessans - Bonneval-sur-Arc - Val-Cenis polar base, will support the Allianz Trophy.
The mass-start on the vast Bessans plateau is a must-see!
From 3:30 pm to 4 pm, the teams set off in a single line, with dozens of dogs stamping their feet, ready to fight it out to be the first to reach the end of the plateau.
Between 4.30 and 6.15 pm, this stage will also pass through the neighboring resort of Bonneval-sur-Arc, before arriving at the Col du Mont Cenis, at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
A great spectacle, with free entertainment in the start village.
