Ice climbing isn't just for the elite! Climbers of all levels are welcome, from beginners to experienced climbers!

Activities offered at the Barmettes Rock School in Bessans. All skill levels.
Upon request, other icefalls are available in Haute Maurienne Vanoise. Our guides will be happy to show you around.
By finding the right place to start or train, you can avoid feeling overwhelmed by the environment and learn and progress safely—and have fun doing it. The Barmettes site is ideal for that! With routes of varying difficulty (from beginner to expert, including mixed and dry tooling) and fixed ropes to ensure a safe ascent from the top, you have the perfect environment to take your first steps in ice climbing or to advance to a higher level, always under the watchful eye of a guide who will advise you and ensure your safety.

Rates

€70 per person for a half-day group session (3 hours).
€150 per person for a full day.

Price includes

Harness, helmet, crampons, ice axes, ropes, and belay system

Price does not include

Mountaineering boots compatible with crampons available for rent at a sports store (Grosset Sport or Sport Vanoise)
